Meet the official candidates for MVW 2013 – Miss Bolivia 2013: Ekaterina Tolczyner

Wicca Merlin August 29, 2012 Competitions, Interviews, Miss Virtual World 11 Comments

To get the candidates for Miss Virtual World 2013 known a bit better I asked all of them the same 7 questions. I thought to follow the challenge it is always great to know a bit about all the ladies before and see who you wanna give your love and support to ;)

So, meet Miss Bolivia 2013, Ekaterina Tolczyner…

WM: “Please introduce yourself and tell us about your personality and tell us why you entered MVW 2013.”
ET: “I’m actually kinda shy, goofy and dare I say it .. dorky. I’m the girl who hides off in a corner or cracks jokes. It may seem like I’m not paying attention, but really I just don’t know what to say sometimes. When I started auditioning for MVW it was with several of my dearest friends. I never thought of doing this for myself, I did it because we wanted to go through the journey together. Along the way, plans changed and some friends couldn’t be with me, but I realized that I still had their support and I really could do this for me. Plus, at least one friend threatened to disown me if i didn’t make it! So if I am backstage before an event with you, I will probably be the one joking and doing crazy dances to defuse the tension. It doesn’t mean that I don’t take this competition seriously, I just want to remember that this is not real life and we’re all here to have fun.”

WM: “What do you think will be the best thing about taking part in this contest? What do you think will be the worst?”
ET: “I think the anticipation and curiosity of what’s next is going to be so much fun. I can’t wait for the crazy hard challenges and the adrenaline rush of show days. Call me hyper but I really love the sheer panic. For me, the worst is going to be making sure that I am able to keep up with my real life school work and everything going on in the competition. I think I’ll give up sleep.”

WM: “Some anonymous people say this competition is rigged. What are your thoughts on this?”
ET: “I don’t believe that it is rigged. I see judges coming from many different backgrounds and facets of the fashion industry and challenges that play to widely varied strengths. Across such a diverse field, I think it would be difficult if not nearly impossible to rig a competition like this and not have it be glaringly obvious. Sure, there will always be some times when the decisions are colored with personal judgment, decisions don’t occur in a vacuum; but I believe that great care is taken to level the playing field by changing up who is judging and what is asked of us.”

WM: “What qualities do you have that make you the perfect MISS VIRTUAL WORLD?”
ET: “I could never say that I believe I would be the perfect Miss Virtual World with so many amazing ladies also vying for the same title. What I am is a model who works hard and keeps my promises. I do my best to be kind to everyone I meet no matter who they are, and I genuinely like helping people. I believe that these qualities are necessary for Miss Virtual World to have the integrity worth of the title and the trust of the community.”

WM: “What type of personality should never be chosen to win MISS VIRTUAL WORLD?”
ET: “I don’t think there is a specific personality type that would or wouldn’t make a good Miss Virtual World, but I do think that there are wrong reasons to want the title. If someone were here with the only goal winning for fame or money or power, they would not be in the spirit of the competition.”

WM: “What do you hope to gain from your experience in MVW 2013?”
ET: “I want to challenge myself to be a better model and to come out of my shell. I want to gain confidence that I can stand with many of the best models out there and hold my own without compromising the things I believe in. If this journey ends with my feeling that I learned and grew and had a great time doing it, I will have succeeded no matter what the outcome of the finals.”

WM: “How would winning this title change you?”
ET: “I subscribe to the old saying “Wherever you go.. there you are”. Changes around me don’t change who I am at my core. Winning would certainly change my Second Life, but it’s up to me to tackle those changes with the same value system that I have always used. Besides, if I ever tried to believe my own hype my loved ones would be there to give me a good shake and snap me out of it.”
