Meet the official candidates for MVW 2013 – Miss Philippines 2013: Dana Yotov

To get the candidates for Miss Virtual World 2013 known a bit better I asked all of them the same 7 questions. I thought to follow the challenge it is always great to know a bit about all the ladies before and see who you wanna give your love and support to ;)

So, meet Miss Philippines 2013, Dana Yotov…

WM: “Please introduce yourself and tell us about your personality and tell us why you entered MVW 2013.”
DY: “Hello, my name is Dana Yotov. I’ve been modeling in Second Life for almost a year now. Most of my friends would describe me as an easygoing, quirky and fun-loving person. I’m really just a simple woman with a lively imagination. I decided to enter Miss Virtual World for two main reasons. First, I believe that this journey I am about to take will help me grow into a better person, not just in SL but also in real life. I am fascinated with the idea of a great challenge, and I think MVW will provide me with that and maybe more. Second (and most importantly), I feel that earning the Miss Virtual World title will allow me to make a greater contribution to causes that are much bigger than my own, ones that can change people’s’ lives for the better.”

WM: “What do you think will be the best thing about taking part in this contest? What do you think will be the worst?”
DY: “On a personal level, I think the best part of being in this contest is being able to hone my craft and sharpen my skills as a model; while meeting more people and making more friends along the way. I think the worst part would be the stress and pressure me and my fellow candidates would feel as the finals draw near.”

WM: “Some anonymous people say this competition is rigged. What are your thoughts on this?”
DY: “I believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. And that in any competition, there will always be people who won’t be happy with the results. Convincing them that they’re wrong will usually prove to be futile; and so the best thing a Miss Virtual World title holder can do is to prove (in action and not just in words) in the next 12 months of her reign that she is truly worthy of her crown.”

WM: “What qualities do you have that make you the perfect MISS VIRTUAL WORLD?”
DY: “I think that one of the most important qualities a Miss Virtual World should have is compassion, the desire to make others happy. I know this may sound cliché, but I believe this is what I have to offer as a potential Miss Virtual World. Since I was young, I’ve always had the urge to share a part of myself to others. In real life, I’ve humbly supported causes and advocates mostly for children, the elderly and the homeless. They are not at all grand or large-scale, because I’m really just a simple person with average means. But I think I what I have is a heart with big enough space to accommodate anyone who is in need of love.”

WM: “What type of personality should never be chosen to win MISS VIRTUAL WORLD?”
DY: “I believe that someone who is selfish, someone who thinks only of her personal gain should never be chosen as a Miss Virtual World. For years, winners of Miss Virtual World not only stood for physical beauty, but also beauty from within. And a person who cares only for herself would be ill-equipped and undeserving of the responsibilities of the MVW crown.”

WM: “What do you hope to gain from your experience in MVW 2013?”
DY: “Whether I win or lose in this competition, I hope to walk away with greater wisdom and more friends.”

WM: “How would winning this title change you?”
DY: “I think that becoming Miss Virtual World is both a privilege and a real job. I am hoping that earning the MVW crown will make me a better model and a better person, while staying true to myself, to who I really am… titled or not.”
